Turia Gardens are a huge green space situated inside the old riverbed of Turia River.
After the 1957 river flood, Turia River was deflected outside the city and its old riverbed became the biggest park of the city. It is almost 10kms crossing the city from West to East ending up with the City of Arts and Sciences.
The botanic diversity of the park is amazing and along the way you will see centenary trees, grass fields, colorful flowers and old stone bridges.
The park also holds infrastructures to practice all kind of sports and outdoor activities like football, table tennis, petanque or skateboard, rugby and many other entertainments that valencian people enjoy daily.
It is obviously the ideal spot to practice jogging, yoga, tai-chi, go for a bike ride or rollerblade, or simply enjoy a walk and relax under the shade of trees. It is also a children paradise thanks to many nice entertainments made for them within the park, like the small train, the Bioparc or Gulliver Park.
