Plantilla

HISTORICAL CENTER:

You will enjoy visiting the old center and all the touristic monuments, and the Central Market, La Lonja, etc…

As restaurants and cafés, there are so many places in the center… I can not make a big list, but I would list these ones:

MAR CUATRO TAPAS: located near the Plaza de la Reina (the Cathedral square). Very nice restaurant for both lunch and diner. We like their offer of spanish ingredients and typical "tapas“ but re-designed. More info

TAPAS BAR BOATELLA: located just in front of the main entrance of the Central Market. Typical spanish tapas and real spanish atmosphere. It is very famous so of course many many tourists go there also, but spanish people love ir too! More info

LA PILARETA (or BAR PILAR): an old cafe with a specialty: the valencian "clochinas" (=mussels) I love them!
It is on the square "Plaza del Tossal". More info

EL CELLER DEL TOSSAL: same owner as "Rodamons“ in Ruzafa neighborhhod. High quality product and refined cuisine are guaranteed! More info

TASCA ANGEL: another typical tapas bar with excellent sea product and very typical spanish atmosphere. No chairs, you stand up, chose from the tapas window bar, most of the food is not cooked yet and you enjoy the food in a noisy atmosphere. Don't miss it! How to get there

DUKALA RESTAURANT: nice and quiet restaurant with a cosy atmosphere, near the Botánico Gardens. The food has both morrocan and french influence, with also some spanish touch. It is a place where the 3 cultures mix up in a delicious way. How to get there

RUZAFA NEIGHBORHOOD:

LA OFICINA RESTAURANT:
Very authentic spanish cuisine, it is a family business, no Facebook, no Website…. it is like a cantine. How to get there

EL HUERTO RESTAURANT:
Nice restaurant in an old little palace, nice food. More info

PASTA PALABRA:
the best home made fresh pasta. They are on facebook

EL CANGURO VERDE:
Nice café for parents with young children, check out the activities…  They are on facebook

Plus many many other places like shops, bars, studios and galleries, etc.... that you will discover just by walking around...

VALENCIA BEACHES:

You can reach them with bus nº 19 that you can take on the avenue Reino de Valencia.

The same long beach has 3 names (from the port to the north: Las Arenas - Malvarrosa - Patacona)

On Patacona Beach, I recommend the beach bar called "La Más Bonita":
Very nice place for relaxing and taking a nice brunch or lunch. Visit their website

ON THE ALBUFERA NATURAL PARK:

South of Valencia there is the Albufera Natural Park, with some nice and wild beaches.

"El Saler" is a nice beach with a tiny village with some restaurant terraces.A little more further south, is the wildest beach of Valencia called "La Devesa" (my favorite).

You will reach it after going around a lake (walking or biking).

The village "El Palmar" is perfect to eat a very typical paella - for example Restaurant Maribel is a nice one. Visit their website
