The Natural Park of Albufera is a world of pure nature.
It is located about 10kms South of Valencia. It is a protected natural territory with a high ecological value, and one of the biggest wetlands in Spain.
During centuries, its rich waters were the traditional sustenance of fishermen and rice cultivators, originating a succulent gastronomy.
The village of El Palmar is the perfect place for a gastronomic stop over, there you can try typical valencian food like Paella, Arroz a Banda or All I Pebre (made with eels from the lake).
We highly recommend a boat trip on the Albufera, and the sunset admiring the reddish colors of the lake, from the wooden platform. The very nice beaches of El Saler and La Devesa are also part of the Natural Park of Albufera.
